Impact, recent impact, clinic 1 expansion

Advancing Ambulatory Surgical Care

With the generous support of over 2,700 donors from across Canada, our hospital's ambulatory care is undergoing a significant revitalization. The J.T. Clark Family Foundation Inc., alongside other major donors, Horizon hospital employees, and the broader community, raised an impressive $12 million for the Clinic 1 Expansion Campaign.

Under the project, Clinic 1 will be renamed as The J.T. Clark Family Foundation Ambulatory Clinic, undergoing a comprehensive renovation to transform a 7,000 square-foot area into a spacious 14,700 square-foot facility. This donor-backed expansion, designed by Steen Knorr Architecture Incorporated, aims to enhance accessibility, privacy, and patient comfort while remaining adaptable to future healthcare requirements.

I think the renovated clinic is going to offer a lot to patients. It’s going to make for a better experience, a more comfortable experience. I have patients with me for hours and this will enable me to offer better patient care. It will also allow me a chance to collaborate on a regular basis with other doctors, like plastic surgeons.
