BooBees for a Cause is just around the corner!

Two Halloweens ago, Megan Parkhill faced a challenge scarier than any haunted house — she was diagnosed with breast cancer. As she navigated her treatments, Megan found comfort and exceptional care at the Saint John Regional Hospital’s Oncology Department.

Inspired by her journey and determined to give back, Megan turned her love for Halloween into a meaningful cause. Last year, she launched the first BooBees for a Cause to raise awareness about breast cancer and support local cancer care. Through her passion for Halloween and the generosity of donors, the event raised over $2,200 for the Oncology Department, ensuring that others facing a cancer diagnosis could receive the same compassionate care Megan experienced.

Now, for the second year in a row, Megan is decorating her home on Delmar Crescent in Quispamsis. Her goal remains the same: to raise awareness about early detection and support the Saint John Oncology Department, where local cancer patients receive specialized treatment and care.

"I’d love to be able to give back to our oncology department, which took such good care of me during my own battle with cancer. Having your support helps others who are also entering a scary, unknown time, and with your donation, you can help make the cancer journey a bit easier with all the amazing comforts and technologies."
