Join us for the 24th Annual Cardiac Rehab Walk!
The Cardiac Rehab Walk supports the Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at the New Brunswick Heart Centre, drawing on community generosity to fund staff development, equipment purchases, and professional growth opportunities.
Over the past 23 years, the dedicated supporters of the walk have helped raise approximately $400,000! For participants of Horizon’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, the meaning of this walk is tremendous.
In their 24th year, the walk stands as a tribute to the remarkable legacy of Murray Gilchrist, whose recent passing deeply touched many hearts.
Murray was a dedicated and passionate supporter of the walk, serving as the top fundraiser for 16 years and raising over $120,000 for the program. Even at the age of 94, his unwavering dedication led him to raise half of the total funds from last year’s walk.
“Through Murray’s endeavour, our program has seen many lives changed for the better.”
- Billie-Jo Mabey, former manager Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program
