Double Your Impact: The John T. McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation to Match Love Your Hospital Radio-thon Donations
This year, your generosity goes even further! Thanks to the unwavering support of the John T. McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation, every donation made to the 13th Annual Love Your Hospital Radio-thon will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000. That means your contribution will have twice the impact on advancing local cancer care at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
A Legacy of Giving
The John T. McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation was created to honour the memory of John T. McMillan Jr., a devoted father, husband, and business owner who courageously battled acute leukemia. Since its inception in 2006, the Foundation has donated over $1 million to support cancer care initiatives at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Through their incredible generosity, they have helped establish and fund vital projects, including:
- The stem cell lab named in John’s honour, which plays a crucial role in life-saving treatments.
- Groundbreaking genetic testing that enables more precise and effective cancer treatments.
- The Families Helping Families Fund, which provides essential financial support for patients, covering costs like travel, medications, and household expenses during their most challenging times.
A Commitment to Advancing Cancer Care
Jeff MacDonald, Former Chair and Board Member of the John T. McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation, emphasized the importance of their continued support:
“One of our Foundation’s pillars is to focus on cornering a cure or finding better cancer treatment. Since 2010, our Foundation has played a major role in supporting the Oncology Program & New Brunswick Stem Cell Transplant Program at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
