This Year in Impact: People at the Centre

This past year reaffirmed what we know to be true: when people come together with purpose, meaningful change follows.

Together, we:

• Supported innovation at our hospital, including the introduction of genetic testing—bringing leading-edge, personalized care closer to home.
• Launched the $10.5 million Campaign for Surgical Excellence, a bold step forward for patients and families across New Brunswick.
• Strengthened partnerships with healthcare teams and community leaders to improve access to care and support better outcomes for patients.
• Continued supporting healthcare professionals with the tools, technology, and resources they need to deliver exceptional care.

Building the Future of Surgical Care

The launch of the Campaign for Surgical Excellence represents more than new technology—it reflects our shared belief that patients deserve the very best care, close to home.

This campaign will bring:

• Atlantic Canada’s first cardiac-enabled Hybrid Operating Room
• One of Canada’s first robotic spine surgery programs

Progress to date has been made possible by the collective leadership and advocacy of our Campaign Cabinet and Co-Chairs, including Barb Murphy and George “Big George” Georgoudis, whose commitment continues to inspire confidence and momentum across our community.
