The Greater Saint John Cancer Support Program is transforming the lives of local cancer patients and survivors by offering free, accessible, and holistic care designed to improve their quality of life. From yoga and meditation to nutritional classes and mental health support, this program empowers individuals through a wide range of services in a welcoming and supportive community setting.

Through the generous donations of individuals like you, we can continue to sustain and grow this program, enabling it to reach more cancer patients in our community.

$50 can provide a series of yoga and meditation sessions for one cancer survivor.
$250 helps fund a month of nutritional counseling for a cancer patient.
$500 allows us to offer mental health counseling services to multiple individuals in need.

Every dollar raised helps us provide the holistic care that local cancer patients and survivors deserve—right here in Greater Saint John.

Celebrating Our Founding Donors

Cancer care goes beyond treatment. Led by Dr. Margot Burnell, Stay Strong began as a 12-week exercise program and today has grown into a comprehensive support initiative for cancer patients and survivors.

Thanks to a $2.1 million gift from the Arthur L. Irving Family Foundation and Irving Oil, this donor-funded program now offers free, holistic care—yoga, meditation, nutrition, and mental health support—in a welcoming community setting.

This is community collaboration in action, made possible through the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation and the vision and leadership of ALIF, IOL, and the Irving family—helping local patients heal, recover, and flourish.

To be well again is what every cancer survivor strives to be. Because no one can travel this journey alone, we thank the Horizon Health Network’s Cancer Support Program for their meaningful support in helping patients in so many ways. We are inspired by the program’s kindness and caring vision for the future and the meaningful impact of holistic cancer care, and we are so proud to support this cancer survivorship program and every patient whose life it impacts.

A Community-Driven Effort

This program thrives through collaboration with Horizon Health Network, who operates the program, and partners like the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick, Wellspring Cancer Support, and Look Good Feel Better. Together, we create a comprehensive, best-practice approach to meeting the unique needs of cancer patients and survivors.
